Hazardous and Risk Factors: Identification, Supplementation, Improvement, and Major Accident Prevention Goals
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gyeongju Expo Grand Park is collaborating with Dongguk University WISE Campus Department of Smart Safety Engineering to identify park hazards and enhance safety.
Students from Dongguk University's Department of Smart Safety Engineering will support the field training classes. The students will conduct patrol inspections of the park and perform hazard assessments by independently surveying the contents and facilities of each zone.
This hazard assessment follows the business agreement signed on April 21 with Dongguk University WISE Campus. Gyeongju Expo Grand Park aims to identify harmful and dangerous factors in advance and to supplement and improve them at least once every six months to prevent major accidents.
Dongguk University students will tour the Gyeongju Expo Grand Park site, identify various harmful and dangerous factors, and prepare reports and presentations. Outstanding participants will be awarded by the CEO of the Culture Expo.
Ryu Hee-rim, CEO of Gyeongju Expo Grand Park, said, “It is reassuring that Dongguk University students, who have expertise in preventing major accidents and safety management, will monitor Gyeongju Expo Grand Park and evaluate its hazards,” adding, “Please work hard to ensure a safe Gyeongju Expo Grand Park 365 days a year.”
