[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] The housing market in the third week of May is showing signs of recovery with an increase in supply compared to the previous week.


According to Real Today, a real estate research firm, a total of 5,037 units (including officetels and rentals, excluding public rental housing) will be available for subscription in nine locations nationwide during the third week of May. This is a 21.81% (902 units) increase from last week's supply of 4,135 units. Winner announcements will be made for six locations, and contracts will proceed at ten locations.


On the 20th, DL E&C will open a model house for 'e-Pyeonhansesang Okjeong Leaders Garden' in the Okjeong New Town area of Yangju-si, Gyeonggi Province. The complex will consist of 14 buildings ranging from one basement floor to 27 above-ground floors, with units of 84 and 99 square meters, totaling 938 households. Okjeong New Town is a large-scale housing development district subject to the price ceiling system, and first-priority subscriptions are available from Seoul and the metropolitan area.


On the same day, DL E&C will also open a model house for 'e-Pyeonhansesang City Hangdong Marina,' a residential officetel located in Hangdong 7-ga, Jung-gu, Incheon. This complex will have four buildings ranging from three basement floors to 39 above-ground floors, with units of 82 square meters, totaling 592 rooms.


Hyundai Engineering is also scheduled to open a model house on the same day for 'Hillstate Yeonggwang,' located in Baekhak-ri, Yeonggwang-eup, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do. The complex will consist of eight buildings ranging from one basement floor to 18-20 above-ground floors, with units of 84 and 113 square meters, totaling 493 households. The area is a non-regulated zone, allowing first-priority subscription regardless of home ownership or household head/member status. Additionally, resale is permitted immediately after contract signing.
