Special Management and Large-Scale Construction Sites Until Early June
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is launching a special crackdown on business sites generating fugitive dust.
Hapcheon-gun announced on the 27th that due to worsening air quality caused by rising spring temperatures, dry air, and strong winds, it will conduct a special crackdown from late April to early June targeting business sites with excessive fugitive dust emissions and large-scale construction sites under special management.
This special crackdown will be carried out by forming a joint inspection team with the Gyeongnam Provincial Special Judicial Police team.
The main inspection items include checking whether fugitive dust emission businesses have reported their operations and whether the actual construction matches the report, as well as verifying the proper operation of fugitive dust suppression facilities (installation of dustproof covers, normal operation of wheel washing facilities, and water spraying on business sites and nearby roads). Special focus will be placed on illegal landfill of waste within construction sites and serious violations of other environmental laws.
Habitual complaint-causing business sites such as large-scale construction sites will be inspected regularly, and strict measures will be taken against intentional or malicious serious violations.
