Hamyang-gun is operating an emergency transportation situation room in preparation for the bus strike, urgently deploying six charter buses on main routes, and concentrating municipal vehicles in transportation-vulnerable areas to minimize inconvenience.
In addition, information related to the bus strike is being disseminated through village broadcasts, temporary route bus operation maps are posted at each bus stop and terminal, and banners are displayed to promote awareness among the public.
Furthermore, a carpool movement among village residents is being promoted, and standby municipal vehicles will be mobilized to enhance the transportation capacity for residents.
A county official stated, “We will do our utmost to persuade both labor and management to reach an agreement on the collective bargaining to avoid a strike if possible,” adding, “In case of emergency, we plan to operate the emergency transportation situation room.”
