[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyundai Asset Management has pre-purchased a cold storage logistics center located in Dugyo-ri, Juksan-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do for over 100 billion KRW through its fund. This is the second logistics center investment this year, following the acquisition of the Deokpyeong logistics center worth 130 billion KRW in February.
Hyundai Asset Management announced on the 18th that it has signed a sales contract for the logistics center in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, and successfully completed investor recruitment and fund establishment to raise acquisition funds. The logistics center is scheduled to be completed in 2023, and Hyundai Asset Management took the approach of pre-purchasing it.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Asset Management has been prominent in the alternative investment sector, having acquired the 18-hole public golf course ‘Gimje Spa Hills CC’ in Gimje-si, Jeonbuk, and the hotel ‘Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae’ in Donggyo-dong, Mapo-gu last year. Earlier this year, it completed equity investment in the ‘Amazon logistics center’ in Connecticut, USA, and the acquisition of the ‘Deokpyeong CJ logistics center’.
A Hyundai Asset Management official explained, "We are expanding our alternative investment portfolio through various methods including real asset investments across domestic and international markets and financial advisory services," adding, "We will continue to strive to steadily secure high-quality investment assets with growth potential."
