Wave Park Donates 100 Million Won Development Fund to Dongseo University

At 11:30 a.m. on the 12th, Choi Sam-seop, CEO of Wave Park, is presenting a development fund to President Jang Je-guk in the president's office at Dongseo University.

Wave Park is Asia's first artificial surfing sports leisure resort facility, developed by Daewon Plus Construction, a local company in Busan, located in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, boasting a world-class scale.

At 11:30 a.m. on the 12th, the development fund delivery ceremony held in the Dongseo University president's office was attended by Choi Sam-seop, CEO of Wave Park; Jang Je-guk, president; Kim Hyun-seok, director; Kim Jeong-seon, executive vice president; Nam Ho-su, vice president of academic affairs; Lee Jong-ik, dean of graduate school; Han Kyung-ho, director of international affairs; Song Kang-young, director of student employment support; and Jeong Do-woon, head of industry-academia cooperation.

CEO Choi Sam-seop expressed, "We hope to give back corporate profits to Dongseo University, a prestigious local university celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, so that students can focus on their studies without burden, and we expect the students to grow into talents who contribute to society."

President Jang Je-guk responded, "We are grateful for the expectations and support sent to the university, and we will strive harder for nurturing future talents and university development."

Daewon Plus Group, which has Wave Park as its affiliate, has made a name as a landmark developer by creating Asia's top-class residential building, the 80-story Haeundae Marine City Doosan We've the Zenith in 2012, and Korea's first marine cable car, 'Songdo Marine Cable Car,' in 2017.

Last year, they signed a 1 trillion KRW comprehensive development investment agreement with Busan City for Hwangnyeongsan, promoting projects such as the construction of Hwangnyeongsan Beacon Tower and reopening the old Snow Castle, which was abandoned due to bankruptcy in 2008, as an urban complex resort facility. They are a pioneering developer specializing in theme parks and tourism leisure facilities.

On the 11th, a tripartite business agreement was also signed between DigiPen Institute of Technology, known as the Harvard of the gaming world, Busan City, and Daewon Plus Group to foster global game talents and create a game industry ecosystem.
