[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Firefighter An Yujin of Seogwipo Fire Station won the grand prize at the ‘Jeju Fire Safety Instructor Competition.’
The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 12th that it held the ‘2022 Jeju Fire Safety Instructor Competition’ at the Jeju Safety Experience Center on the 11th.
The Fire Safety Instructor Competition is held to share diverse and excellent lecture techniques among fire safety instructors who are responsible for disaster safety education for the entire population, expand mutual exchange, and improve the quality of education. This year marks the 8th competition.
This year, under the theme of ‘Youth Life Safety,’ fire safety instructors representing four fire stations competed in a heated contest.
Firefighter An Yujin of Seogwipo Fire Station won the grand prize with an effective case-centered lecture titled ‘Elementary School Students Smombie Are in Danger!’ focusing on the risk of accidents while using smartphones, which led to a high level of audience understanding. The excellence award was given to Fire Sergeant Song Sian of Dongbu Fire Station.
Firefighter An Yujin, who won the grand prize, will represent Jeju at the 8th National Fire Safety Instructor Competition to be held next month in Sejong City.
A representative of the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters said, “We will continue to strengthen the capabilities of fire safety instructors to conduct substantial safety education and actively discover various fire safety education items to further promote the fire safety culture.”
