[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Ottogi announced on the 8th that it has launched "Delicious Rose Tteokbokki," which includes rose sauce and wheat rice cakes.
This new product recreates the thick sauce of rose tteokbokki sold on the market by adding cream powder to a gochujang-based rose sauce. Additionally, it maximizes a mild yet spicy flavor by using tomato, parsley, and other ingredients. It contains chewy wheat rice cakes that absorb the sauce evenly and wide Chinese-style glass noodles, allowing for a diverse texture experience.
The cooking method is simple. Add 750ml of water, wide glass noodles, and sauce to a frying pan and boil for 9 to 10 minutes, then add rice cakes and cream powder and stir while boiling for 5 to 6 minutes. Using milk instead of water enhances the rich flavor. Various toppings such as ham, onions, mushrooms, and cheese can be added according to preference. This product is packaged for two servings, individually packed per serving, making it easy to cook alone.
An Ottogi representative said, "As the popularity of rose sauce continues mainly among young people, we launched this convenient meal so that rose tteokbokki at a specialty store level can be easily made at home," adding, "We will continue to introduce products reflecting consumer preferences."
