[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Fubon Hyundai Life announced on the 21st that it has established a three-year strategic plan to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
Fubon Hyundai Life's ESG management vision is 'Decarbonization, Digitalization, Capacity Building, and Social Contribution.'
The company plans to invest more than 1.2 trillion KRW in eco-friendly finance by 2024 and achieve carbon neutrality by reducing internal carbon emissions by 30%.
It will strengthen customer services based on digital platforms such as building a paperless insurance environment, implement safety and health management for a safe working environment, practice customer-centered complete sales, and expand talent development and capacity-building education.
Additionally, to fulfill corporate social responsibility, it plans to increase participation of all employees in supporting local communities, marginalized groups, and youth financial aid.
Lee Jaewon, CEO of Fubon Hyundai Life, said, "We will practice ESG management to communicate and grow together with stakeholders such as customers, shareholders, and local communities," adding, "We aim to be a trusted global insurance company and grow with our customers toward the future as a company that is a positive energy that changes lives."
Meanwhile, to practice ESG management, Fubon Hyundai Life has been conducting the 'ESG Practice Starting with Me Campaign' since last year. This year, it has selected 10 initiatives including operating 'Eco-friendly Day' and all employees are participating.
