Winia Dimchae's Lee Chang-ik Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at Smart Innovative Home Appliances Awards

Kimchi Refrigerator Storage Performance and Energy Efficiency Improvements Highly Praised

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hye-young] Winia Dimchae announced on the 21st that Lee Chang-ik, the manager in charge of refrigerator development, received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the ’2021 Smart Innovative Home Appliance Contributor Awards Ceremony’.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Promotion Association, the ‘Smart Innovative Home Appliance Contributor Awards’ selects individuals affiliated with companies and related organizations in the home appliance industry who have contributed to the development of innovative technologies, expansion of exports, and the spread of technology convergence, thereby advancing the smart innovative home appliance industry and enhancing competitiveness.

Lee Chang-ik of Winia Dimchae was highly evaluated for his contributions to ▲improving the storage performance of kimchi refrigerators ▲enhancing the energy efficiency of kimchi refrigerators and refrigerators ▲standardizing products through new technology development.

First, by developing a linear temperature control logic that maintains a constant internal refrigerator temperature and the world’s first technology applying four coolers, he maximized the storage performance of kimchi refrigerators. Through this, the 4-door 5-room kimchi refrigerator product implements optimal temperature and humidity for each type of food, prevents odor mixing, and preserves the taste and aroma of ingredients for a long time.

Additionally, he developed the operation, driving, and stopping logic of the inverter compressor installed in kimchi refrigerators and refrigerators, reducing product power consumption while maintaining and improving performance. Along with this, Lee also filed various patents through research and development of core technologies such as Dimchae linear temperature control logic and lid-type hinge operation.
