[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 9th that it will hold the 2nd ‘Happy Learning Center Learning Festival’ on the 11th to build a resident-centered lifelong learning community.
The ‘Happy Learning Center Learning Festival’ will be composed of various contents such as an experience area where lifelong learning can be experienced, an exhibition area displaying works by trainees, and a skill showcase area for lifelong learning clubs.
In addition, an all-participation event will be prepared, where residents visiting the event will decorate exhibits that help find mental stability by creating an ‘Ecological Healing Space’ together, breaking away from the lethargic life caused by COVID-19.
In particular, in the lifelong learning non-face-to-face kit experience class, 150 local residents will participate, using Zoom to create a special personalized calendar decorating birthdays, anniversaries, etc., with backgrounds including maps of Pungam, Uncheon, Jeonpyeong Lake, the May 18th Memorial Park, and the eight scenic spots of Seo-gu.
The event is open to all residents, but entry is allowed only to those who have completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in compliance with infection prevention guidelines.
Meanwhile, Seo-gu is promoting the Happy Learning Center operation support project with a total budget of 121 million KRW, currently operating 46 programs at the base lifelong learning center and 10 Happy Learning Centers, with about 500 students participating.
