Pre-registration Started on the 25th of Last Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Nexon's Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) Mobile has launched a campaign targeting domestic users.
According to Nexon on the 7th, DNF Mobile began pre-registration for domestic users on the 25th of last month. DNF Mobile is expected to be released in the first quarter of next year. DNF is a game with 850 million users worldwide and has achieved cumulative sales of 18 billion dollars (approximately 21 trillion won).
Nexon's subsidiary Neople conducted a one-week stability test for all employees in October, and 88% of participants responded that the original game's feel was well implemented. The company stated that it received positive evaluations for action elements and manual combat, which are difficult to experience on mobile platforms.
DNF Mobile aims to provide the "joy of playing" by capturing the tactile sensation of arcade action. It faithfully incorporates the original's unique action elements into the mobile platform. To maximize the fun of manual combat, great care was taken in the control methods. A new method using mobile-exclusive touch controls has been introduced. It offers options for skill control methods tailored to user styles and supports customization features.
Additionally, DNF Mobile's combat system offers a unique and engaging experience. Over 2,000 pieces of equipment are implemented, allowing users to equip various gear and fight. More than 500 decorative items enable users to create their own unique characters.
DNF Mobile is developed based on refined 2D dot graphics and, while grounded in the original's basic worldview, unfolds a story differentiated from the original. It provides nostalgic locations such as Elvengard, Lorien, Screaming Cave, and the Vilmark Empire Experiment Site, stimulating the nostalgia of 'DNF' users and offering a fresh experience with DNF Mobile's own story.
A Nexon official said, "Through newly introduced content and systems tailored for the mobile platform, we will capture the interest of users who enjoy action role-playing games (RPGs)."
