Achieved Highest Score in Steba December Issue
Recognized for Top Grades in Refrigeration, Freezing, and Temperature Stability
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Electronics announced on the 6th that it ranked first in the evaluation of French door refrigerators (SBS) conducted by the German consumer media 'StiVa' for the first time.
The Samsung French door refrigerator selected as number one in the December issue of StiVa is a product that was launched in Europe in January this year and has been steadily gaining popularity, receiving the highest score among a total of nine models.
StiVa awarded this product the highest rating of 'Very Excellent' in three of the seven evaluation categories: refrigeration performance, freezing performance, and temperature stability, and gave it an 'Excellent' rating for energy and noise.
This product is praised for its advantage of having ample external space by applying technology that preserves cold air well while reducing insulation thickness. It also features the 'Twin Cooling Plus' function that independently cools the refrigerator and freezer compartments, the 'Smart Conversion' function that allows the refrigerator and freezer to be used in combinations of five different modes, and a sophisticated built-in look.
Earlier, Samsung Electronics also ranked first in the evaluation of European-style top refrigerator and bottom freezer (BMF) refrigerators announced by StiVa in September, with four models selected within the top five, proving excellent performance. The French door and top refrigerator-bottom freezer types are Samsung Electronics' main product groups, accounting for about 80% of its refrigerator sales in Europe.
Lee Ki-soo, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, "Samsung refrigerators are receiving the highest evaluations consecutively, surpassing traditional European brands that are strong in home appliances," and added, "We will continue to increase our influence in the global market through the best products tailored to regional characteristics."
