[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] SC First Bank announced on the 2nd that it has opened the first asset management specialized branch among financial companies in the LCT residential-commercial complex in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
The branch, which opened on the 29th of last month, was established to strengthen contact with asset management customers in the Busan area. The Standard Chartered (SC) Group's strategy is to provide asset management services accumulated over time broadly from the wealthy to the middle class.
The branch will have dedicated staff for high-net-worth individuals and investment experts on site. Through partnerships with tax consulting firms, tax accountants will be assigned, and related services will be provided to PB customers. Along with PB center operations, general banking branch services can also be handled.
SC First Bank plans to add a complex branch function equipped with both banking and securities counters simultaneously. Through its subsidiary SC Securities, it aims to enable one-stop trading of various global financial investment products such as overseas stocks, in addition to existing bank products like funds and trust contracts.
A grand opening event will also be held. The first 10 customers who newly subscribe to asset management products worth 300 million KRW or more at the LCT branch will receive a one-night accommodation voucher at Ananti Hilton Busan on a first-come, first-served basis. For customers who newly subscribe to 30 million KRW or more, the first 30 will receive a Liverpool holiday gift box on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, Liverpool goods will be given to visiting customers through dart events and others. The SC Group has been the official main partner of Liverpool since 2010. The LCT branch also features a space decorated with videos and images of Liverpool FC, a prestigious club in the English Premier League.
Jang Ho-jun, Head of Retail Banking Group (Vice President) at SC First Bank, emphasized, “While expanding digital channels in line with changing business trends, we plan to make bold investments such as opening new branches in areas with high service demand from asset management customers like LCT. We will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of the Korean market and local communities through finance.”
