Gwangju Buk-gu, Joint Briefing Session on Support Policies for Small and Medium Enterprises


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 30th that on the 1st of next month at 2 p.m., it will hold the '2022 Joint Briefing Session on Small and Medium Enterprise Support Policies' at the Gwangju Technopark Life Support Robot Center, with the participation of 14 organizations including Gwangju Technopark, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and KOTRA Gwangju-Jeonnam Support Group.


At this briefing session, explanations will be provided on various supports and projects to be implemented next year to stabilize management and strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.


In particular, each participating organization will provide detailed guidance on customized policies centered on demand, such as SME support directions, financial support, research and development, and exports.


After the briefing session, a joint one-on-one on-site consultation booth will be operated by the participating organizations to resolve questions about related policies and difficulties faced by companies, and the '2022 Small and Medium Enterprise Support Policy Booklet' will also be distributed.


Since the beginning of the 7th local government term, Buk-gu has opened a comprehensive economic support center and is carrying out management support projects such as supporting overseas certification for export companies and operating a corporate growth support group.


In addition, with a budget of about 7.6 billion KRW from national and city funds, efforts are being made to expand infrastructure such as renovating old sidewalks and roads in industrial complexes and creating a public parking lot in the Advanced 2 Industrial Complex.


District Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, "I hope this briefing session will be an opportunity to gain various policies and information on SME support and lead to practical benefits," and added, "Next year, we will actively support strengthening SME competitiveness and business recovery in line with government policies."
