[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongnam National University announced on the 30th that it has signed a business agreement for the successful promotion of the Changwon Nursing Education Innovation Platform with universities in the Changwon area.
The 'Changwon Nursing Education Innovation Platform,' involving Gyeongnam National University, Masan University, Changshin University, Changwon National University, and Changwon Moonsung University, aims to realize a shared and cooperative higher education ecosystem among universities in the Changwon region and to advance nursing education to foster excellent nursing personnel for the local community.
On this day, the five universities promised mutual cooperation, including joint practical training and collaboration with public institutions.
Lee Eun-joo, head of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam National University, said, "Regional universities have joined forces to nurture outstanding nursing personnel who will bring hope to patients in future medical fields," adding, "We will actively cooperate for the successful promotion of the Changwon Nursing Education Innovation Platform."
Meanwhile, the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam National University has obtained a '5-year accreditation' for its Bachelor of Nursing program in the 'Nursing Education Accreditation Evaluation' by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education, and was selected as an executing institution for the 2020 Nursing College Practical Education Support Project, accelerating the cultivation of nursing talent required in domestic and international health care fields.
