[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the ‘With Working 2021 Job Fair’ on the 25th at the Geochang-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
This job fair was held face-to-face for the first time in two years since COVID-19 to revitalize the stagnant employment market. Job seekers were able to obtain various job information, and companies could hire local talent on-site.
Eleven companies participated in the fair, including local manufacturing and production companies and welfare institutions, recruiting about 100 people in office, production, and service fields by receiving resumes and conducting interviews on-site. About 200 job seekers visited the fair, showing strong enthusiasm for employment.
In addition, various side events such as makeup, photography, and fingerprint aptitude tests were held for employment image making. The Geochang Employment Welfare Plus Center provided employment-related information such as unemployment benefits and employment support programs through professional career counselors, receiving great response.
On the day of the event, in addition to the companies directly participating in the fair, job information from 53 companies was also provided, and job seekers who were not employed on the day are expected to proceed with employment through additional interviews and consultations later.
Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, said, “This fair will be a good opportunity to resolve the frozen job and labor shortage caused by COVID-19 and to restore daily life,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide good jobs to job seekers.”
