[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Master Mun Jae-sook mentioned the marriage of her daughter, actress Lee Ha-nui. She also wished her happiness by gifting Lee Ha-nui a ring that her own mother used to wear.

On the 21st, Master Mun Jae-sook, holder of Intangible Cultural Property No. 23, appeared on TV Chosun's 'Star Documentary My Way' and showcased her unique storytelling skills.

Well known as the mother of actress Lee Ha-nui, Master Mun Jae-sook is a holder of the Gayageum Sanjo and Byeongchang performing arts. She currently serves as an honorary professor in the Korean Music Department at Ewha Womans University and as a distinguished professor at Shinhan University.

Regarding Lee Ha-nui's Miss Korea win, Mun Jae-sook said, "Our family belongs to the Pig zodiac sign. So it was a miracle that Miss Korea came out of our family," making viewers burst into laughter. She then visited her hometown Uijeongbu and met her older brother, former lawmaker Moon Hee-sang, introducing him as "the person who recommended the Gayageum and changed fate, my brother Moon Hee-sang."

Lee Ha-nui referred to her 4th place finish in Miss Universe as "Mom's work." Mun Jae-sook explained that the reason she opposed Lee Ha-nui's entertainment activities in the past was because she thought of Lee Ha-nui playing the Gayageum. Lee Ha-nui expressed gratitude, saying, "Still, you believed in me."

In particular, Mun Jae-sook mentioned Lee Ha-nui's marriage, saying, "I hope she feels happiness as a woman and the joy of raising children. Whether it’s work or marriage, I hope she is happy." Recently, Lee Ha-nui acknowledged that she is seriously dating a non-celebrity partner.

She then gifted Lee Ha-nui a jewel ring that she had received from her own mother, Lee Ha-nui's maternal grandmother. Lee Ha-nui expressed satisfaction, saying, "It was a dream. I was envious when my friends abroad said they received antique rings from their grandmothers."
