Comfort and Empathy from Life Seniors


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Council Korea announced on the 22nd that they will hold a series of seven storytelling concerts delivering comfort and empathy from the 9th of next month until January of the following year. This event aims to bring hope to those struggling due to the spread of COVID-19. The concerts will be hosted by writer Kim Do-yeon, with appearances by Ki Woo-jin, CEO of Lovely Paper (December 15), broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon (December 16), nurse Kang Jeong-hwa (December 22), Kim Chang-ok, CEO of Kim Chang-ok Academy, senior model Ji Seong-eon, and Moon Jae-hyun, director of the Village Community Education Research Institute (all in January). Those wishing to participate can apply online by submitting stories related to COVID-19 in the application form. Videos will be broadcast on the Arts Council Korea and Insaeng Nanum Classroom TV YouTube channels starting January next year. A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official said, "We hope people will meet life seniors who live proudly overcoming hardships and spend a time of comfort and empathy."
