The 5th Next Generation Graduate Student Forum to be Held Online on the 18th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Duyul] The Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group at Pukyong National University will hold the 5th Next-Generation Graduate Student Forum online on the 18th, with graduate students from Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan participating.
The forum is an international academic event designed to introduce and provide opportunities for exchange regarding the research achievements of graduate students majoring in Northeast Asian maritime literature from the four countries.
The event will be held under the theme "Conflict and Reconciliation in the Humanities Network of the Northeast Asian Maritime Region in Modern and Contemporary Times," featuring three sessions: ▲ Northeast Asian Maritime Region and Modernity ▲ Northeast Asian Maritime Region and the Japanese Colonial Period ▲ Northeast Asian Maritime Region and Contemporary Times.
Graduate students from seven universities, including Pukyong National University, Jeju National University, Shanghai Normal University, Ocean University of China, Kyoto University, National Chengchi University, and National Taiwan Ocean University, will present and discuss eight research papers.
The forum will be simultaneously interpreted in each country's language and provided live on the HK+ Project Group's YouTube channel and Zoom online.
Son Dongju, head of the HK+ Project Group, said, "We hope the forum will support the next generation of scholars in Northeast Asian maritime literature and expand continuous exchange cooperation and non-face-to-face academic exchanges."
