This training was carried out by the Gwangju Election Commission in collaboration with the Local Children's Center Gwangju Support Group and the heads of each local children's center to provide students using childcare facilities, local children's centers, with quality democratic citizenship education opportunities.
The training was organized with the provision of training supplies and customized educational programs (discussions, games, etc.), and from September to October, a total of about 200 students participated at 13 children's centers in the district, including the Gwangju Beautiful Local Children's Center.
A representative of the Gwangju Election Commission said, "We hope this training serves as an opportunity for young future voters to broaden their understanding and thinking about elections and politics."
Meanwhile, to promote sustainable democratic citizenship education, the Gwangju Election Commission has signed an agreement with the Local Children's Center Gwangju Support Group since 2018 and has been conducting various democratic citizenship education training sessions annually.
