[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The 'Together One Meal' project, carried out by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council to create apartments where residents and workers coexist harmoniously, is attracting attention.
According to Seo-gu on the 26th, this project, jointly promoted by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council and the Seo-gu Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council, started in 2019 and this year is being conducted until the 29th targeting 529 people in 32 apartments in Ssangchon-dong, Chipyeong-dong, Hwajeong-dong, Yuchon-dong, and Naebang-dong areas.
In particular, this year, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was initiated to provide an opportunity for residents and workers to meet through listening to difficulties and exchanging opinions using lunchboxes as a medium, highlighting the role and importance of essential workers in multi-family housing who silently perform face-to-face tasks in essential fields.
Besides this project, the Seo-gu Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council is continuously striving to improve the working environment for multi-family housing workers through psychological counseling, healing camps, and raising social awareness about the working conditions of vulnerable workers.
A representative of the Seo-gu Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council said, “We will continue to make efforts to foster a culture of labor-management coexistence.”
