Damyang-gun Supports Small Business Owners with Social Insurance Premiums for Business Stability

[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 26th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote a social insurance premium support project to stabilize the management of small businesses with fewer than 10 employees and one-person self-employed individuals, whose management burdens have increased due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

The support targets are small business owners with fewer than 10 employees who employ workers eligible for the government's Durunuri support project (where the state supports 80% of employment insurance and national pension premiums paid by both workers and employers) and one-person self-employed individuals enrolled in employment and industrial accident insurance.

Support is provided for a total of three months. For small business owners with fewer than 10 employees, 20% of the employer's share of social insurance premiums is supported, and for one-person self-employed individuals, 50% of the graded premium amount is supported.

The application period is until December 15, and the program will end early if funds are exhausted. Applications can be submitted by visiting the town or township office, or by mail, fax, or email.

A county official stated, “Through the social insurance premium support project, we expect to alleviate the management burden on business owners and prevent employment contraction, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.”
