Governor Lee Jae-myung Receives Plaque of Appreciation from Gyeonggi Provincial Council


[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, received a plaque of appreciation from the Gyeonggi Provincial Council on the 25th.


On the afternoon of the same day, Lee received a total of four plaques of appreciation in the first-floor conference room of the Provincial Council, presented in the names of the Council Chairman and Vice Chairman, the Chair of the Steering Committee, the Democratic Party representative lawmaker, and all council members.


Jang Hyun-guk, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, stated, "Governor Lee Jae-myung has always done his best to fulfill his promise to the residents to create a 'New Gyeonggi, a Fair World' through bold decisions and execution," adding, "Although it is regrettable that he could not stay with Gyeonggi Province until the end, I hope his steps toward greater challenges are filled with good fortune."


Meanwhile, the plaque presentation ceremony was attended by Chairman Jang (Democratic Party, Suwon 7), Vice Chairmen Jin Yong-bok (Democratic Party, Yongin 3) and Moon Kyung-hee (Democratic Party, Namyangju 2), Democratic Party representative lawmaker Park Geun-cheol (Uiwang 1), and standing committee chairs.


Earlier that day, Governor Lee held a retirement press conference in the morning.
