A senior Blue House official said on the 22nd, "Since the Pope has expressed his intention to visit North Korea several times, we believe related discussions will also occur."
The senior Blue House official added, "The President is scheduled to have a private meeting with the Pope, and it is expected that President Moon will engage in extensive dialogue with the Pope, who has shown deep interest in the Korean Peninsula issue, regarding the peace process on the Korean Peninsula."
Minister of Unification Lee In-young will also accompany President Moon on the official visit to the Vatican.
The senior Blue House official said, "Minister Lee In-young will also attend, and we expect that he will make various meaningful proposals and activities."
