A man in his 30s unlawfully entered a woman’s home using a fake "Flower Delivery Arrived" text message

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 30s who trespassed into a woman’s home by pretending that a flower delivery had arrived was caught by the police.

On the 19th, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating Mr. A (34) on charges including trespassing.

According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of entering the victim’s home in Geumcheon-gu without permission at around 9:55 p.m. the previous day and assaulting the female victim by pulling her hand multiple times.

Police investigations confirmed that Mr. A sent a false message to the victim saying “a flower delivery has arrived” to get her to open the door.

The victim was reportedly acquainted with Mr. A, having met him in the past, but they were not in a romantic relationship. The victim is said to have reported to the police, stating “a stalker has come.”

A police official explained, “It appears the crime was committed because the victim refused further contact,” adding, “We will review the details of the case and consider applying for a warrant.”
