[Asia Economy (Gwangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Korea Ceramic Foundation is hosting the '2021 Gyeonggi Craft Festa' at the Yeoju Gyeonggi Craft Creation Support Center until the 28th of next month to promote the spread of craft creation culture.
The Gyeonggi Craft Festa is a craft culture event introduced last year, featuring various programs such as craft-related exhibitions, experience and education, demonstrations, and sales.
This year, the Korea Ceramic Foundation is conducting programs divided into a total of 11 categories, including ▲Ceramic 3D Printing Award Exhibition ▲Stay-at-Home Craft Contest Award Exhibition ▲Craft Experience Education ▲Craftsman's House II ▲Introduction of Outstanding Artists ▲Club Creative Activities, and more.
The Ceramic 3D Printing Award Exhibition begins on the 23rd of this month. Fifteen award-winning works from the '2021 Ceramic 3D Printing Contest,' organized to promote digital ceramic design, will be exhibited in the main hall of the Gyeonggi Craft Creation Support Center.
The Stay-at-Home Craft Contest Award Exhibition displays nine award-winning works selected under the theme of 'original crafts made directly at home.'
The exhibition will be held from the 9th to the 17th of this month in the outer corridor of the Gyeonggi Craft Creation Support Center.
Admission and craft experience fees are free, and participation in experience programs is available through advance reservation on the website (www.csic.kr).
Choi Yeon, CEO of the Korea Ceramic Foundation, stated, "We expect this event to serve as a new catalyst for revitalizing craft creation activities that have been subdued due to COVID-19 and other factors."
