[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 26th that it will hold an online seminar for the National Bank of Georgia in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on the 27th.
This seminar was organized to support the establishment of P2P and crowdfunding systems in Georgia. Under the theme "Korea's P2P and Crowdfunding Systems and Implications," it plans to share experiences and knowledge with the National Bank of Georgia and ADB staff.
Yoo Ye-seom, an investigator at the Capital Market Supervision Bureau of the FSS, and Seok Jae-seung, a senior official at the Savings Bank Supervision Bureau, will present on Korea's crowdfunding supervision system and P2P supervision system, respectively. Following this, representatives from the industry such as 8Percent and PeopleFund will give presentations.
Additionally, a panel discussion will be held on various issues raised by Georgia to support the successful establishment of P2P and crowdfunding systems in the country.
The FSS expects that this seminar will serve as an opportunity to share Korea's financial systems and experiences and strengthen mutual cooperation channels with Georgia in the future. An FSS official stated, "We plan to expand exchanges and cooperation with supervisory authorities in various regions."
