Strengthening Reliability through Acquisition of International Standard ISO
Korea Analysis and Testing Research Institute (KATR, CEO Kim Juhwan) passed the audit for the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) of the International Organization for Standardization in November 2020, proving that KATR's systems comply with international standards.
ISO certification is an internationally recognized certificate issued by the International Organization for Standardization when a company's management system meets international standards, such as ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) management system certifications.
The ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications are granted only when eco-friendly management activities are emphasized and management is capable of providing high-quality services to customers. Additionally, obtaining certification requires audits by numerous examiners and experts from various fields, making the process stringent and complex.
A KATR operations team official stated, “With the completion of ISO certification, Korea Analysis and Testing Research Institute can continuously monitor and improve its quality management system and environmental management system, expanding quality awareness and providing trust to customers. We will continue to strive to become a more stable and reliable research institute.”
KATR's scope of certification includes material composition inspection and analysis, chemical substance analysis, microbial culture chemical analysis, and research and development consulting.
