Air Busan Celebrates Surpassing 50,000 YouTube Subscribers with 'Nickname Contest' Event Air Busan YouTube Channel Image


[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Air Busan announced on the 3rd that it will hold events such as a 'Subscriber Nickname Contest' to celebrate surpassing 50,000 subscribers on its YouTube channel.


The subscriber nickname contest is open to anyone who participates by commenting until the 24th, and participation is possible not only through YouTube but also via Air Busan's official Instagram channel. The submitted nicknames will be finalized through a vote by Air Busan's internal employees, and the selected nickname will be widely used in future Air Busan YouTube content.


The final selected nickname entrant will receive four round-trip domestic flight tickets, while other winners will be awarded two round-trip domestic flight tickets (one person) and Air Busan goods sets (five people). Additionally, a drawing contest titled “It's Okay to Be a Bad Artist” will be held, where participants draw the faces of Air Busan employees who appeared on the Air Busan YouTube channel. The event winners will be announced on September 10.


Previously, since starting communication with customers through its YouTube channel in 2019, Air Busan's subscriber count has increased tenfold in about two years.


Videos such as the ‘Vietnam Da Nang Flight Crew Vlog,’ which shows international layover (local stay) flight scenes, and the ‘Contract Ended Airplane Return Video,’ documenting the process of returning the A321-200 aircraft operated by Air Busan to the United States, gained popularity with 2.77 million and 810,000 views respectively.


An Air Busan official said, “We will continue to actively communicate with customers by providing diverse information and enjoyment through various platforms and methods.”
