Gwangju Office of Education "Thank You to COVID-19 Medical Staff Amid Heatwave"

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it visited five district office screening clinics, which are working hard on the front lines to respond to COVID-19, from the 28th to the 30th of last month.


This visit was carried out to encourage the screening clinic workers who are battling the heatwave that came along with the resurgence of COVID-19 and to seek their cooperation.


Lee Seung-o, Director of the Education Bureau of Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, along with staff, visited the screening clinics at the health centers of Gwangsan-gu (July 28), Seo-gu and Nam-gu (July 29), and Dong-gu and Buk-gu (July 30), delivering consolation gifts such as rice cakes and fruits, and expressed gratitude and support for the hard work of the screening clinic personnel.


Director Lee said, “We prepared this visit and the delivery of consolation gifts to thank the medical staff and quarantine officers at the screening clinics of each district office health center who are doing their best to respond to COVID-19 even in the heatwave,” adding, “Our Office of Education will also do its best not only to prevent the spread of COVID-19 but also to guide students’ daily lives and minimize learning gaps as we prepare for full in-person classes in the second semester.”
