[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Fairmont Ambassador Seoul announced on the 2nd that it held a plaque ceremony after receiving the highest 5-star rating in the hotel rating evaluation conducted by the Korea Tourism Association Central Association. The plaque ceremony was held with Kim Ki-seop , CEO of Park One Hotel Management, Carl Gagnon , General Manager of Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, and other hotel executives in attendance.
The 5-star hotel rating is an evaluation covering various hotel facilities and services, and is awarded only to hotels that score over 90% out of a total of 1,000 points, including 700 points from on-site evaluation and 300 points from undercover evaluation.
Fairmont Ambassador Seoul opened on February 24 as the first Fairmont hotel in Korea, located within the Park One complex, a new landmark in Yeouido. The hotel has a total of 31 floors and 326 rooms, and features a rooftop terrace restaurant and bar on the 29th floor, along with a total of four restaurants and bars, the Fairmont Gold Lounge, fitness center, swimming pool, and spa. It also has a grand ballroom, Gallery 7, and meeting rooms, which are spaces suitable for various types of events.
General Manager Carl Gagnon said, "It is especially meaningful to receive the highest 5-star rating during these difficult times due to COVID-19. Since the opening in February, thanks to the efforts of hotel staff and the great interest from customers, the hotel has quickly stabilized, allowing us to achieve this positive result." He added, "We will continue to create unforgettable memories with the historically rich Fairmont brand’s service and the delicate touches that move our customers."
