Ministry of the Interior and Safety 'Safe-TV, Online Event for a Safe Summer Vacation in August'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 2nd that its safety-specialized website 'Safe-TV' will conduct an online participation event throughout August for elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide under the theme of 'Having a Safe Summer Vacation.'

First, to educate students on proper safety behavior according to disaster types and to encourage their interest, an event will be held where students watch videos posted on the 'Safe-TV' website and answer a total of 20 safety knowledge questions. Additionally, with the intention of encouraging students to pledge and practice safety themselves to create a safer society, an event will be held during the summer vacation period where students can post and share their daily safety practices on the website.

This participation event will be conducted in collaboration with 'Schoolgaja.com,' a platform where active teachers voluntarily gather to provide online educational content to schools. 'Schoolgaja.com' is a learning website operated mainly by teachers in the Daegu area to provide high-quality online educational content to frontline schools amid the unprecedented school closures following COVID-19.

Park Jong-hyun, Safety Communication Officer, said, “The 'Weekly School Safety Newsletter' program we produce every week is widely used in frontline schools and has received positive responses,” adding, “We expect this to be another opportunity to draw students' interest and participation in safety, especially as they mostly stay at home during the summer vacation due to COVID-19.”
