The Essence of Housing, 'The Sharp' Apartments... 'The Sharp Cheongju Central' Scheduled for Sale in July

In the first half of this year, POSCO E&C's brand 'The Sharp' has continued its unstoppable success by recording the highest subscription competition rates in each complex supplied nationwide, including the metropolitan area. This month, 'The Sharp Cheongju Central' is scheduled to be supplied through the redevelopment of Cheongju Bokdae 2 District, raising expectations among demanders.


POSCO E&C heated up the sales market in the first half of this year. In fact, 'The Sharp Diocean City Phase 2,' supplied in Gunsan, Jeonbuk in February, set a record for the highest subscription competition rate in Gunsan history with an average of 58.8 to 1 in the first-priority subscription.


Following that, in May, 'The Sharp Yangpyeong Riverforet,' supplied in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, recorded an average of 28.77 to 1 in the first-priority subscription, marking the highest subscription competition rate in Yangpyeong history. Also, 'The Sharp Centro,' supplied in Asan, Chungnam in May, successfully completed subscriptions with an average of 52.8 to 1 and a peak of 98.5 to 1 in the first priority.


Experts cited consumer preference and loyalty toward the premium apartment brand The Sharp, as well as the excellent quality of The Sharp apartments, as the reasons for POSCO E&C's sales success.


In fact, POSCO E&C has ranked first for four consecutive years in the 'Brand Customer Loyalty' jointly announced by Brand Keys, one of the top 10 consulting firms in the U.S., and the Korea Consumer Forum. It also ranked first for three consecutive years in the apartment section of the 2020 Korea Industry Brand Recommendation. Furthermore, it has held the top position for 11 consecutive years in the Apartment Quality Satisfaction Index, announced annually by the Korea Standards Association, the first in the industry to do so. In 2020, it ranked fifth in construction capability evaluation, representing a leading company in the domestic construction industry.


In particular, POSCO E&C declared a new leap forward last year through a brand renewal to grow The Sharp into a 100-year brand that continuously earns customers' trust and love, with the slogan 'Becoming the Origin (本) of Residence.' It embodies the will to lead the essential value of housing with four core values: safety, enhanced convenience, comfortable rest, and sophisticated design.


A POSCO E&C official said, “Thanks to the support of our customers, we have been selected as number one in the apartment category for five consecutive years in the customer loyalty survey conducted by the Korea Consumer Forum,” adding, “We will continue to introduce apartments that create the highest value to become a luxury brand that increases satisfaction the longer you live in it.”


Amid these circumstances, The Sharp Cheongju Central is scheduled to be supplied in Cheongju in July. The complex, supplied in the central living area of Cheongju, consists of 11 buildings with a total of 986 units, ranging from two basement floors to a maximum of 25 floors above ground, offered as a brand-name large complex. Among these, 746 units excluding the union member quota will be available for general sale. Located in Bokdae 2 District, The Sharp Cheongju Central is expected to excel not only in abundant living infrastructure but also in education, transportation, and natural environment. Additionally, it is situated right in front of the Cheongju Industrial Complex, making commuting convenient.


The model house will be set up in the Cheongju area of Chungbuk and is scheduled to open in July.
