Lee Jae-myung "Gained a Thousand Troops and Horses with Support from Rep. Woo Won-shik" Gratitude


[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, expressed his gratitude, saying he had gained "a great ally" after Woo Won-shik, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, officially declared his support for him.


On the 14th, Governor Lee posted on Facebook, "Representative Woo Won-shik announced that he officially supports me," adding, "I am truly grateful and feel as if I have gained a great ally."


He continued, "Representative Woo Won-shik proposed and established the 'Euljiro Committee' to address the 'tyranny of the powerful,'" praising, "The Euljiro Committee visited hundreds of sites and focused on solving livelihood issues of irregular workers and laborers."


He also said, "It is a pride of our Democratic Party and politics, showing directly what politics should do," recalling, "Behind lawyer Lee Jae-myung's desk, there was always a sign that read 'Livelihood Lawyer.'"


Furthermore, he added, "It was a determination not to forget the difficulties and pains of the socially vulnerable," and "I am very pleased to be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of politics through solving livelihood issues together with Representative Woo Won-shik."


Finally, Governor Lee promised, "I will do my best to alleviate inequality, imbalance, and polarization," and "I will meet the expectations of the people with results."
