Gyeonggi Water Resources Headquarters Holds Water Industry Export Consultation Meeting

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is hosting a water industry export consultation meeting.

Gyeonggi Province announced that from the 12th to the 16th, it will hold an 'Online Water Industry Export Consultation Meeting' at the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon, to support local water companies' overseas expansion.

The province explained that the online export consultation was arranged considering the difficulties local water companies face in expanding overseas due to COVID-19.

This year, to provide customized export support for companies, the province collaborated with the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency to expand the consultation target regions from one to two.

The event will feature 13 local water companies with specialized technologies such as water treatment systems and rainwater reuse facilities, which have high potential for entering local markets.

Companies will engage in one-on-one online consultations with about 70 local buyers from Vietnam and Malaysia to discuss technology and product explanations, purchase intentions, and future plans.

The province conducted two rounds of buyer matching to facilitate smooth consultations and increase the likelihood of successful transactions by connecting companies with tailored buyers.

Additionally, market research reports for each company were prepared to provide useful information for entering local markets. On the day of the consultation, local language interpretation will also be supported for each company.

Kim Hyang-sook, head of the Water Resources Headquarters of the province, emphasized, "We hope this event will be a cornerstone for the overseas export of local water companies," and added, "We will continue to promote related projects to help the water industry in the province grow."
