Seongbuk Senior Club Education Hosted on 16-17th with 5 Sessions... Includes Content on Improving Adult Awareness and Preventing Sexual Harassment
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) conducted sexual harassment prevention education for elderly participants in job programs.
The education, held over five sessions from the 16th to the 17th, was attended by 250 elderly individuals participating in elementary school-related projects.
The training was organized by the Seongbuk Senior Club and focused on improving adult awareness and preventing sexual harassment. A Seongbuk-gu official stated, "Despite the hot weather, the education was successfully completed thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the elderly."
Seongbuk-gu invests an annual budget of 11.5 billion KRW to support "active and vibrant senior lives" and has provided jobs to a total of 3,300 elderly people.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "Since jobs are an essential condition for a vibrant old age, we will continue to expand job programs every year."
