[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] A service that exposes store information at the top of Naver Maps and Places has been launched.
On the 17th, Naver announced, "We are introducing 'Place Ads,' which allows any local business owner to easily promote their store for a minimum of 50 won to a maximum of 20,000 won per day." It will be released as a beta service starting on the 28th.
Place Ads are displayed in the 'Place' section of Naver search results and on Naver Maps.
Business owners can only advertise for keywords related to the area where their store is located and their industry. For example, the keyword "Jeongja-dong restaurants" can only be used for Place Ads by restaurants located in Jeongja-dong.
Place Ads do not incur advertising costs when users see the displayed ads; costs are charged only when clicks occur.
The maximum advertising budget per business owner is 20,000 won per day.
Advertisers starting Place Ads for the first time can receive up to 100,000 won in advertising support for the first two months.
Lee Il-gu, Naver's advertising lead, said, "Place Ads are a marketing tool that can attract potential customers searching for my neighborhood and my store's industry," adding, "We will enhance stepwise advertising products that local SMEs can choose without burden according to their business growth cycle."
