[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] On the 14th, Lee Jun-seok, the newly appointed leader of the People Power Party, held his first official meeting with party lawmakers. Kim Ki-hyun, the party's floor leader, praised Lee by saying, "The Lee Jun-seok vaccine has appeared."

Lee attended a general assembly of lawmakers held at the National Assembly that day and shared his vision for party management in front of his party members. When the moderator called his name, Lee bowed to the lawmakers in three directions before stepping up to the podium. The lawmakers responded with applause and cheers.

Lee said, "I am glad to meet with the lawmakers who are the backbone of the party," and added, "I appreciate your support through excellent legislative activities while the candidates were fiercely contemplating during the party convention."

He continued, "Our goal is to win the presidential election. I will never forget that goal," and earnestly requested, "I sincerely ask you to join me, guide me, and trust me throughout the process." He also mentioned that the merger with the People Party should be treated as the top priority task.

He emphasized, "My mission is to build a big tent to confront the Moon Jae-in administration together with the excellent and abundant presidential candidates inside and outside the party."

Floor leader Kim praised Lee by using the expression "Lee Jun-seok vaccine."

In his opening remarks, Kim said, "The public's anger is boiling over due to the Blue House and the ruling party's incompetence, ignorance, and reckless 'three no's (無)'." He added, "In this exhausted public, the 'Lee Jun-seok vaccine' has appeared. As a new hope vaccine with no real side effects, the 'Lee Jun-seok vaccine' will neatly clean up the polluted scene of Korean politics and become a good indicator of hope."

He continued, "The public now doesn't even care whether the president is in the country or abroad, but they are very interested in Yeouido's public bicycle 'Ddarungi.' It is no exaggeration to say that we are creating an icon of hope. That much, we are receiving expectations from the public." Earlier, Lee attracted attention by using the public bicycle 'Ddarungi' when he first arrived at the National Assembly on the 13th.

Kim also said, "On the other hand, the responsibility is heavy," and emphasized, "The new leadership, united with youth and passion, must create a new Korea and build the People Power Party anew. With unprecedented chemistry, we must enter the hearts of the people and fulfill our historical mission as the people's representatives."
