Opening of Yangcheon-gu Gompallae Senior Citizens' Community Center

Serving as a space for empathy and communication between seniors and local residents... Offering various programs such as exercise classes and dementia prevention puzzle classes

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has remodeled Gomdallae Senior Love Room (63-4 Nambusunhwan-ro 63-gil, Sinwol 1-dong) and opened it as the ‘Gomdallae Senior Harmony Center,’ completing the opening ceremony on the 4th.

The newly opened Gomdallae Senior Harmony Center is a three-story building, with floors 1 and 2 dedicated to the Senior Love Room space for seniors, and part of the 3rd floor equipped with program rooms. It is the ninth ‘Yangcheon-type’ senior welfare center expanded in Yangcheon-gu.

In the future, the Gomdallae Senior Harmony Center will offer various programs for the health and healing of local residents, including strength exercise classes, yoga classes, laughter classes, dementia prevention puzzles, and sprout ginseng cultivation.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “I hope the Gomdallae Senior Harmony Center will become a place of ‘generation empathy’ communication where seniors and local residents interact and enjoy healthy and meaningful leisure activities.”
