Sharing New Job Information, Preparation Directions, and Trends... Expert Lectures and Consultations in the Employment Field
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced on the 26th that it will hold an online seminar titled ‘Employment Trends for the New Middle-aged Generation 2021’ to help the new middle-aged generation design and prepare their employment direction well through introducing changed employment trends, policies, and cases amid the rapidly changing employment situation after COVID-19.
This event is a detailed program of the New Middle-aged Career Project ‘Good Job 5060,’ which has been jointly promoted since 2018 by four organizations: the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, Hyundai Motor Group, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and SangSangWoori, to create jobs for the new middle-aged generation and revitalize the social economy.
The ‘Employment Trends for the New Middle-aged Generation 2021’ online seminar, now in its second year, will be held under the subtitle ‘Hidden Cards for Future Jobs of the New Middle-aged Generation,’ featuring expert lectures on employment strategies and directions for the new middle-aged generation, discussions by employment experts in various fields, and on-site talks.
In Part 1 of the seminar, ‘The Future of Work, The Future of the New Middle-aged Generation,’ there will be a keynote lecture by Professor Cho Young-tae, a demographer famous for his books such as The Predetermined Future and The World Where Children Disappear (Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Health), exploring ‘The Next 10 Years That Will Determine the Future of the New Middle-aged Generation.’ Through this, attendees will examine what attitudes and perspectives to adopt and what to prepare for a new future for the new middle-aged generation.
In Part 2, ‘Hidden Cards for Employment of the New Middle-aged Generation,’ employment experts from various fields will introduce ways to find jobs that suit individuals according to the changing job market trends and how to effectively utilize public resources, presenting customized employment strategies helpful for job seekers in the new middle-aged generation.
The ‘Employment Trends for the New Middle-aged Generation 2021’ online seminar will be broadcast live on June 16th from 2 p.m. via the YouTube channel, with pre-registration starting from the 26th. Any new middle-aged individuals preparing for employment can participate for free through the online registration link. Those wishing to participate can pre-register from the 26th on the 50+ Portal (www.50plus.or.kr). Various prize events, including Starbucks coffee coupons and recycled commuting bag giveaways, will be held through a lottery for those who pre-register and participate in the live broadcast satisfaction survey.
