Nox App Player announced the official release of the Android 9 BETA version on May 24.
The app player is a platform that breaks down the boundaries between mobile and PC, enabling mobile games and applications to run quickly and smoothly on PC. As the number of users wanting to play mobile games on PC gradually increases, Nox's usage is steadily growing. This is fundamental evidence that domestic game companies are recently focusing on cross-platform development.
Nox App Player currently holds the highest market share among app players in Korea and, unlike general cross-platforms, supports all mobile games. It is well recognized as an app player that provides the fastest optimization service whenever new games are released, having recently surpassed 1 million PC players for Cookie Run Kingdom. This time as well, it is preparing to launch the world's first Android 9 version app player.
Through the beta version publishing on May 24, it is providing users with a trial service. In the first half of the year, numerous professional bloggers and creators participated in the BETA test.
The title of launching the Android 9 version was not just about a simple version update.
Google Android officially encourages developers to develop in environments of Android 9 version or higher, and accordingly, many mobile games, including general applications, are gradually being developed based on the latest Android version environment. This is the fundamental reason why high-quality games like "Genshin Impact" and "The Second Country" are showing issues running on many app players that only support Android 7 or lower.
In this regard, Nox stated that this update aims to provide a more optimized execution environment for all games, including those not supported in the existing Android environment.
The Nox Android 9 BETA version shows significantly better performance compared to existing app players.
Above all, it showed a clear difference in multiplayer performance (a function that runs multiple app players on a single computer environment), which is the main consumption performance of the core app player user base.
When running multiple app players, the Nox Android 9 version consumes 72.4% less CPU and 71.6% less GPU, which has long been a pain point for users. Additionally, game update speeds are on average 6 minutes and 8 seconds faster. It focused on improving the game play environment without lag by reducing the burden on the PCs of most users who play mobile games 24 hours a day using multiplayer performance.
Through Android 9, it comprehensively improved users' long-standing issues such as excessive CPU consumption and incomplete optimization of existing app players.
Thus, Nox has enabled users to experience stable work and gameplay even when performing various tasks simultaneously on PC through lighter multiplayer support in Android 9, and current users are looking forward to the more evolved official release date.
The Nox App Player BETA version can be downloaded and experienced through the official Nox App Player website, and the official version release date is undecided.
