Developing Sales Channels for Excellent Local Agricultural Products and Continuous Export Plans
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Gyeongnam Hapcheon-gun Nonghyup United Rice Processing Plant announced on the 18th that it held the first export shipment ceremony for 2021 rice and has officially started exports.
About 50 people attended the export shipment ceremony, including Moon Jun-hee, Hapcheon-gun Governor, Bae Mong-hee, Chairman of the County Council, Shin Jae-soon, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, Lee Dong-ryeol, Head of Agricultural Distribution, Kang Moon-gyu, Head of Nonghyup County Branch, Song Deok-bong, Chairman of Hapcheonho Nonghyup, and Jang Moon-cheol, CEO of Hapcheon Distribution Co., Ltd.
The first shipment volume to be exported this time is 1.2 tons (312 bags/4kg), amounting to 5 million KRW. Hapcheon-gun and Hapcheon Nonghyup United Rice Processing Plant plan to take the lead in pioneering sales channels and continuous exports of excellent local agricultural products.
The rice importing company, CconmaUSA (Kkotpineun Achim Maeul USA), is a trading company located in Cerritos, USA, mainly importing food, daily necessities, and cosmetics. It has distribution networks in Cerritos and LA, and is expected to contribute to the activation of Hapcheon rice exports.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-ryeol, Head of Agricultural Distribution, said, “We will actively strive to stabilize the income of rice-producing farmers who are facing difficulties in exports due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).”
