[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Claims have emerged that Microsoft (MS) founder Bill Gates (65) has been secluding himself for several months at a luxury golf course.
On the 11th (local time), Fox Business in the United States reported, citing sources, that Bill Gates has been staying for three months at the members-only golf course "Vintage Club" in Indian Wells, California.
The source said Bill has been staying at the golf course for nearly three months and added, "He must have clearly known about the divorce a long time ago." Fox Business reported that the Vintage Club is famous for its strict security, to the extent that even golf legend Arnold Palmer had to wait before entering.
Earlier, after announcing his divorce from his wife Melinda, it was reported that he was in the Palm Desert area where this golf course is located when signing the divorce papers.
The specific reasons for the divorce have not yet been revealed. However, since the divorce announcement, there have been claims that Bill had an inappropriate relationship with a female interpreter, as well as reports that Melinda expressed discomfort over Bill's association with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Epstein was imprisoned on charges of sex crimes against minors and died by suicide in 2019.
