Emergency Alert from Health Authorities as Three Employees at a Call Center in Gwangju Test Positive

Following 2505 Cases the Previous Day, Additional Confirmed Cases 2522 and 2524 Reported

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Three COVID-19 cases have been confirmed at a call center in Gwangju, prompting health authorities to raise an alert.

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City's health authorities on the 11th, Mr. A, a resident of Seo-gu, was classified as the 2505th confirmed case in the region the previous day.

Case 2505 is an employee at a call center located in a building in Yangdong, Seo-gu. Following a full investigation of all employees, two additional cases were confirmed on the same day, classified as cases 2522 and 2524.

The remaining 70 employees all tested negative and have been placed under self-quarantine.

Diagnostic testing is also being conducted for approximately 500 employees working on floors 15 to 30 of the building, who share the same elevator as the call center staff.
