Double T Launches 'Jikgu Round' Service, an Overseas Purchasing Agency Platform

Recently, due to the prolonged COVID-19 (novel coronavirus infection) pandemic restricting overseas travel, the demand for purchasing agency services has surged. Overseas direct purchase agency is a type of shopping platform that allows entry into the online market without having to open a separate shopping mall.


In this context, Double T Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Young-jun) is providing the online overseas direct purchase agency platform service called ‘Jikgu Round’.


Double T targeted the issue of excessive logistics costs imposed on consumers due to the long logistics chain of overseas imports, which passes from the existing Chinese wholesale market through domestic wholesale and retail markets to consumers.


By using Double T’s Jikgu Round service, domestic retailers can purchase products directly from suppliers at wholesale prices. By omitting the intermediate distribution process, it is expected that the distribution costs will decrease, thereby lowering the market entry barriers for domestic retailers. This is ultimately anticipated to contribute to the economic revitalization of domestic small business owners and SMEs.


Currently, the Double T Jikgu Round team provides comprehensive overseas direct purchase agency services that customers need through systematic division of tasks including operations, sourcing, and customer CS. In particular, in July, they plan to launch a mobile app to maximize user convenience in the mobile environment, enabling easy import of desired products with just a smartphone.


An official stated, “Buyers can compare multiple quotes, select their preferred partner, and since the payment is held until the transaction is completed and then 100% refunded, there is no more innovative operation than this.”


Meanwhile, Double T plans to expand its service through its R&D center by resolving the asymmetry of distribution information between overseas suppliers and domestic retailers using big data mining technology and AI deep learning technology, enabling optimized supply and consumption.
