Emart will hold the 'Spring Golf Grand Sale' event, featuring the biggest discounts of the year and unique marketing promotions, from the 22nd of this month until the 9th of next month.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Emart announced on the 21st that it will hold a 'Spring Golf Festival' event, featuring the year's biggest discount promotions and unique marketing, from the 22nd of this month until the 9th of next month.
During this event, customers purchasing golf clubs and golf equipment with event cards at Emart and SSG.com will receive gift certificates or SSG Money worth up to 200,000 KRW depending on the purchase amount. At 38 golf shops located within Emart offline stores, customers who spend 500,000, 1,000,000, 1,500,000, or 2,000,000 KRW with event cards will receive Shinsegae gift certificates worth 50,000, 100,000, 150,000, or 200,000 KRW respectively. The same amount of SSG Money payback promotion applies to golf products sold on SSG.com that are delivered through Emart stores via SSG Delivery or courier services.
A unique event linked with the Shinsegae Group baseball team, SSG Landers, will also be held. Customers who purchase over 1,000,000 KRW at Emart offline golf shops will be among the first 1,000 to receive a limited edition golf ball and ball marker set featuring the SSG Landers design.
Meanwhile, analysis of customer data for golf equipment purchases at Emart this year shows that the influx of 'Gollin-i (Golf + child)' aged 20 to 30 is increasing, expanding the overall golf market size. From January 1 to April 15, golf equipment sales to customers in their 20s and 30s grew by 67.7% compared to the same period last year.
An Emart official stated, “Golf, once considered a pastime exclusive to middle-aged and older adults, has recently gained great popularity among younger generations,” adding, “We will continue to plan various discount events so that beginners and young customers entering golf can purchase trendy products at affordable prices.”
