Lotte Home Shopping Selects Song Ga-in as Gwangkeuljeol Model... Logo Song to Be Released Tomorrow Lotte Homeshopping has selected trot singer Song Ga-in as the promotional model for Korea's Gwangcle Festival.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 15th that it has selected trot singer Song Ga-in as the promotional model for the Korea Gwangcle Festival and will release a logo song supporting the overcoming of COVID-19 on the 16th. The Korea Gwangcle Festival will be held for 10 days starting from the 23rd.


Lotte Homeshopping produced a 30-second logo song featuring Song Ga-in as this year’s shopping icon. With an addictive chorus and Song Ga-in’s refreshing voice, the song aims to encourage citizens struggling due to COVID-19 and deliver various shopping benefits.


The video will be released on the 16th through Lotte Homeshopping TV broadcasts as well as official SNS channels such as YouTube. Offline promotions will also be conducted, including on the LED billboard of Lotte World Tower. Additionally, from the 16th to the 22nd, an SNS comment event supporting the Gwangcle Festival will be held, offering various prizes through a lottery. The movie "Song Ga-in The Drama," featuring concert footage of Song Ga-in, will also be available for free viewing through the Lotte Homeshopping mobile app.


Previously, in October last year, Lotte Homeshopping successfully held the largest shopping event in the industry, the Korea Gwangcle Festival, with product volume worth 300 billion won and participation from over 2,200 brands. The event achieved cumulative orders of 1 million within five days.


A Lotte Homeshopping official said, “We have selected singer Song Ga-in, who enjoys nationwide popularity, as the promotional model for the mega shopping event Korea Gwangcle Festival. Since she is well-liked across a wide age range and also participated in producing the logo song, we expect to attract a lot of customer interest in the Gwangcle Festival.”
