Damyang-gun to Begin COVID-19 Vaccinations for Residents Aged 75 and Older Starting the 15th

[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced on the 12th that starting from the 15th, Pfizer vaccine vaccinations will begin at the Damyang-gun COVID-19 Vaccination Center (Damyang Culture Hall) for seniors aged 75 and older and residents of elderly care facilities.

The vaccination targets are 7,037 people born on or before December 31, 1946, residing in the county, of whom 5,945 had agreed to vaccination as of the 9th.

The first dose will start on the 15th, and the second dose will be administered from the 6th of next month, three weeks later.

Seniors aged 75 and older will gather at designated meeting points in each eup and myeon by bus provided by the county at scheduled times and depart for the vaccination center. After vaccination, they will be transported back to their respective departure locations.

Individual vaccination schedules will be notified via text messages and phone calls to those who agreed to vaccination starting from the 13th. Seniors with mobility difficulties or severe underlying conditions will be vaccinated through separate arrangements at a later date.

Applications for vaccination will be accepted until the 15th. Applicants can visit their local eup or myeon office in person with an ID card, or a guardian may apply on their behalf.

A county official stated, “With the Pfizer vaccine delivery scheduled smoothly on the 13th, we have thoroughly prepared to ensure the vaccination proceeds without any issues. Seniors who have not yet submitted their consent forms are encouraged to submit them at the nearest eup or myeon office and receive the vaccine.”
