[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The National Credit Union Federation of Korea (NACUFOK) announced on the 9th that it reduced rental fees by 950 million KRW last year through its self-initiated "Good Landlord" campaign.
Last year, NACUFOK participated in a campaign to reduce rent for 513 small business tenants occupying buildings owned by credit unions nationwide. Ulsan Haengbok Credit Union waived rent totaling 86 million KRW for 13 businesses, and Jumin Credit Union in Seongnam City waived a total of 87 million KRW for 25 businesses.
Kim Yoon-sik, Chairman of NACUFOK, stated, "The Good Landlord campaign is an expression of the cooperative spirit aimed at overcoming hardships alongside small business owners and self-employed individuals going through difficult times," and emphasized, "We will continue to actively support the self-reliance of small business owners."
